Ingredients
-
2 c. all-purpose flour (and ¼ c. for shaping)
-
1 Tbsp. baking powder
-
2 tsp. Baja Gold Sea Salt
-
2 c. Greek yogurt, plain
-
1 egg, beaten
-
1 Tbsp. Rosebud’s Everything but the Bagel seasoning
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt and mix.
Add in the plain Greek yogurt and mix until it becomes a shaggy dough.
On a clean and floured surface, knead the dough for 5 minutes or until the dough is no longer sticky, adding in a ¼ cup of flour little by little.
Divide the dough into 6 sections. Take each section and roll into 6-inch ropes, pinching both ends together to make the bagel shape.
Place them on the parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them evenly.
Coat the bagels with the beaten egg and sprinkle the ‘Everything but the Bagel’ seasoning on top.
Bake for 23-25 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
Toast, spread cream cheese or your preferred toppings and enjoy!
Recipe Note
To Store: Place in an airtight container or bag in the fridge for up to 1 week.
To Freeze: Place in an airtight or freezer Ziploc bag. Can keep up to 3 months in the freezer.
Prep Ahead: You can prepare the bagel dough up to 24 hours in advance. Cover and store it in the fridge until you're ready to shape and bake. Let it sit on the counter for about 20 minutes to let the dough warm up before baking.
Instead of mixing by hand, you can use a stand mixer with the dough hook attachment! Mix the dough on low speed until combined and then knead until smooth.
